Isuzu dashboard trim kits by model

A dashboard wrap usually means flat vinyl that you cut and stretch yourself around every vent and curve. The kits for Isuzu work differently: each part arrives pre-cut to the parts diagram, shaped like the original trim piece, with a domed clear layer and soft edges. You compare, clean, degrease and fit, piece by piece. Nothing is cut or drilled, and the original trim stays in place underneath.

Wood and burl effects, black or silver carbon effect, brushed aluminium, piano black or metallic colours: depending on the kit, more than 40 finishes are chosen on the product page. Kits ship high-gloss; one coat of clear matt spray before fitting gives a matte look.

Prepare the surface

Heat is the usual worry with anything stuck onto a dashboard. The 3M 468MP adhesive holds well on plastic that is properly clean, so the preparation matters most. Remove dust, then degrease thoroughly to get rid of silicone and trim dressings. Let it dry completely before the first piece goes on.

Fit in the right order

Lay the parts out following the diagram. Offer each one up dry before peeling the backing, to check its alignment with the edges and joints. Then peel gradually and press from the centre outwards to push the air out. Tools are not included, so have your own ready.

Hide the signs of age

On a used car, the trim covers scratches and wear on the areas it trims, including worn piano black. It does not repair the original part, but it hides the marks under a fresh decor and protects the surface underneath from then on, which is often exactly what a second owner is after.

Open the kit for your Isuzu model, check the parts diagram against your dashboard and send a photo if anything looks different.
