SsangYong dashboard trim kits by model

Are stick-on dash trim kits any good? For SsangYong, the answer depends on what sits on top of the print. Each CockpitDekor part carries 3M 468MP transfer adhesive underneath, the printed decor in the middle and a clear, flexible two-component PU dome by COLOR DEC from Italy on top, around 2–3 mm thick with rounded edges. That domed layer is what keeps it from looking like a flat sticker.

The kit goes onto the existing, suitable interior surfaces without taking the dashboard apart. It covers scratches and wear marks rather than repairing them, and protects the covered areas from then on.

Before you order an interior trim kit

An effect, not a material

Wood and carbon finishes are printed decorative effects, not solid wood and not woven carbon fibre. That is what makes it possible to offer Walnut Burl, Birdseye Maple or Ebony Zebra on complex shapes, with an even look from one part to the next. Choose by colour and pattern rather than by material.

Check the driving side

Many vehicles exist in both left-hand and right-hand drive, and the dashboard is mirrored between the two. The driving side is chosen at checkout, so make sure you select the right one, especially for an imported car. If anything about your version is unclear, a photo of the dashboard settles it.

Think about the whole cabin

A finish that looks lovely on its own can clash once fitted next to the seats and door cards. Look at the upholstery, the headlining and the stitching before you decide. If you plan to protect the screens as well, ExtraShield films finish the dashboard right up to the display.
