Worried about a hot summer dashboard? On Volvo S80 / V80, the parts hold with 3M 468MP transfer adhesive, and the honest key is preparation: clean the plastic, degrease it thoroughly to remove silicone and trim dressings, let it dry, then fit. Offer each part up dry first, peel gradually and press from the centre outwards. Tools are not included, so have your own ready.

Comparing finishes before you decide

Large saloons and estates

In a large saloon or estate, the dashboard is wide and the cabin calm. Burl wood effects such as Walnut Burl or Newport Burl suit that atmosphere, especially with light leather. For a more modern look, piano black with a few brushed aluminium accents keeps things understated.

Hatchbacks and sporty models
