- dashboard trim, interior styling, 3D domed trim, buyer guide
The Wrangler JK interior is built for mud, not for looks: hard plastic around the radio, the vents and the shifter. A stick-on trim kit changes that in an afternoon. It goes over the existing parts, so nothing has to be taken apart, and it gives the cabin a premium look for a small budget.
Watch: a customer unboxes the kit in his JK
One of our customers in the US filmed his kit straight out of the package, sitting in his Wrangler.
Customer video. It shows our earlier packaging: kits now ship on 3M adhesive sheets under a clear protective film, in a flat, fully recyclable white envelope.
Which kit fits your JK?
| Kit | Years | Parts | Reference | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Interior Trim Kit, full set | 2011–2017 | 25 | JEWX-11-25 | €139.99 |
| Interior Trim Kit, automatic transmission | 2011–2018 | see parts diagram | JEP-23A | €99.99 |
The JK changed in 2011: new dashboard, new centre stack, new door panels. Kits for 2007–2010 do not fit a 2011+ Wrangler, and the other way round. Before you order, compare three things on your car with the parts diagram on the product page: the radio or navigation unit, the transmission (manual or automatic) and the climate controls. Then choose left- or right-hand drive in the product options.
Not sure? Send us a photo of your dashboard on WhatsApp (+32 480 65 95 26) and we check it for you.
What is in the 25-piece kit
The full set (JEWX-11-25) covers the whole cabin: two vent rings, the steering wheel trim (left, right and bottom), the radio surround with centre vent, power window switches, the grab handle above the glove box, A/C controls, hazard switch, the 4x4 and automatic shifter surrounds, the cup holder trim for automatic or manual, plus the door pulls and door panels for front and rear doors. The exact shapes are on the parts diagram on the product page.
What the parts are made of
Every part is cut to a template traced by hand on the real vehicle. The finish is printed onto 3M 468MP automotive adhesive and then domed with a clear polyurethane layer. That layer gives the parts depth and a rounded, high-gloss edge, copes with a hot summer dashboard, hardens to an almost glass-like surface after about two weeks and does not yellow.
It is a wood-look, carbon-look or colour finish, not real wood or carbon fibre. That is the point: the parts are flexible and follow the curves of the JK's dash like the original panel.
Kits ship glossy. If you prefer a matt look, spray one or two coats of clear matt lacquer on the parts before fitting.
37 finishes, from burl to camo
The JK kit comes in 37 finishes. A few that suit a Wrangler especially well:
- Carbon-look: black, blue, red and silver carbon fibre look.
- Camo: Forest Camo and Desert Camo, made for an off-roader.
- Solid colours: for example Coal Black, Racing Red, Deep Orange or Sunray Yellow, to match the body colour.
- Wood-look: 19 decors, from light oak to dark burl and zebra.
How fitting works
- Clean. Degrease every surface the parts go on. Dust and silicone cockpit spray are a common reason for a part to lift.
- Test-fit. Hold each part in place with the backing still on and check the diagram for its position.
- Stick. Peel the backing, place the part edge first, then press it down from the centre outwards.
- Curves. On curved parts, warm the part briefly with a hair dryer so it follows the shape.
- Let it cure. The surface reaches its full, almost glass-like hardness after about two weeks.
A full kit takes about 30 to 60 minutes to fit, at home or in a car park. Tools like a squeegee or a small roller help, but are not included, to keep the package small and free of extra waste.
Can it come off again?
Yes. Warm a part with a hair dryer or a heat gun on low heat and peel it off. Adhesive residue wipes off easily, and the original surfaces underneath stay protected, which helps when you sell the Jeep.
If a part gets lost or goes on crooked, we replace it, for the life of the kit.
Ordering
Every kit is made to order in the finish you choose, usually within 2–7 working days, then shipped. Kits start from €44; the full JK set is €139.99.
